New expert network eVoiceNet

Catherine Jasserand and Els J. Kindt of the Biometric Law Lab are proud to announce to be member of the COST CA24128 expert network eVoiceNet which was selected in this year’s higly competitive COST programme (a research funding program by the EU Commission and EU Member States) (8 % of the proposals only are funded).

Cost CA24128 brings together experts from over 30 countries to explore how the human voice can be used as a digital health solution. We will look into the legal and ethical aspects of the use of voice to help detect and monitor diseases. The project aims to create common guidelines and standard, open and ethical AI tools and training resources and support for real-world use. Its objective is to build a strong, collaborative international ecosystem including AI and voice researchers, clinicians, legal and ethics experts, patient groups and industry and health system leaders.  It will be important for integrating voice-based hashtag#AI tools into clinics and everyday care in a  safe and ethical way for  everyone.

The project starts in October 2025 until october 2029. The Group is led by the Deep Digital Phenotyping Lab @ Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH).
eVoiceNet is a highly complementary initiative to Bridge2AI -Voice in the US.
